Former Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas has withdrawn from the Core Hydration Classic after struggling on her uneven bars routine. Douglas, who is attempting a comeback after 12 years, competed for the first time in eight years last month. Despite facing travel delays due to severe weather in Texas, she arrived in Hartford, Conn., with high hopes. However, her performance on the uneven bars was subpar, leading to her withdrawal from the remaining events. Douglas has already qualified to compete in vault and balance beam at the U.S. Championships later this month. Another gymnast, Konnor McClain, was also injured during floor warmups.
